Shopify offers an essential platform with a myriad of robust tools for making selling easier and a great compliment to being on Amazon. "We thought about this for awhile," comments Wyatt Christman founder and owner of Lunch Rejuvenation. "Amazon is growing so fast and like any larger company experiencing such growth there are bound to be changes and updates along the way. By adding a Shopify sales channel we are building outside of Amazon to help weather those potential changes whatever they might be."
Even though Lunch Rejuvenation has added a Shopify site, they are hosting their Lunch Ideas for Work blog on a separate Wordpress site.
According to Wyatt, Lunch Rejuvenation is still "renting space" from Shopify. By having a blog on their own domain hosted elsewhere Lunch Rejuvenation can still retain some of the longer term benefits of ranked posts.
"It's much easier to switch if we ever needed to when the majority of our content is hosted elsewhere," remarks Wyatt, "It's always good to have the option even if you never use it, kind of like a fire estiquisher, it's there at the ready."
Besides easy integration with Amazon, Shopify offers a simple way to setup a payment system. The simplicity eases a lot of the stress from making sure everything is secure. According to Wyatt this benefits not only the business but the consumer as well.
"Not everyone is going to purchase from a site unless they know it's secure. Having Shopify at the backend offers a clear trust indicator making purchasing more likely while the other Shopify tools make it that much easier to say yes to buying"
Lunch Rejuvenation has been happy with their decision to go with Shopify so far. They are looking forward to being prepared for holiday shopping whatever it may bring.
